About the work

The te reo title Mōtete means ‘fragments’.

This work was commissioned by the New Zealand Chamber Soloists in 2023 as part of their ‘Seven Pieces Seven Women’ project. They gave the first performance on 16 July 2023 in the Auckland Concert Chamber.
